A friend of mine wants to enter the IT industry but he's not sure whcih side to go into Networking or Programming....he's considering doing either an MCSE or CCNA/CCNP or WEbDesign with VB and JAVA.

He studied Humanities at university, so he's not a technical person nor is he good at maths, however he is quite logical.

what might be easier for him to learn? and which pays more?

Being a MCSE or CCNA is not an easy task.. it takes a lot of technical skill as well logic to suceed.
I have found Networking to be interesting... the pay ranges between 25K-50K depending on wot u support and who u work for.

However, Programmin is a fun but hard subject. I beleive it pays more than networking... brudders like BeGood r into programmin and can help u in this matter.

Not really familiar with the programs you mentioned.

However, on comment. If he is non-technical, he should probably go the Programming way as it involves very little knowledge of the Technical side. Networking requires you to have a certain amount of programming knowledge also.

Programmer Vs Networking ...

Assalam-o-Alliakum

Dear Friend
The student of my batch which are not good programmer change there field to Networking.
I think Networking is really easy you can do a course of 3/4 month and can be a good in Networking.
You can also learn JAVA may be in 3/4 months but be a good programmer is Allah gifted. Mean every body know what is for loop and how to put a if conditon but every body is not a good programmer. It is good mind oriented job so I love that. It is fun too ...
Also programmer get a lot more Pay then a networking engineer and also a programmer has more jobs in Market then a networking engineer.
But there is a most important thing in programming your field should be good like if you are in VB then jobs are relatively much less and of low salaries.
