no.... this aint about anything rude so dont get excited
 do any of you manage to access b.com from non-broadband internet lines.... cos i cant get on whilst im at home. just wanted to ask so i could figure out if it is my computer that is mashed, or if its just the site.

well wen we used ta have dial-up it took a heckovalong time for d pages 2 load... with broad-band its much easier...
must be obvious tho innit?

ll Namaste ll Anissa: There may be a few reasons why it takes so long on a dial up connection (narrowband): 1. You live far away from youre ISPs closest location which slows down the transfer of data considerably. Basically, the further away you are, the worse your connection will become. 2. Your modem settings arent maximised to their full potential. I could instruct you on how to check and do it, but i'd need a website of my own just for that  Otherwise, if you can get your hands on some sort of "Optimizer" programs (try http://www.tucows.com) for net connections, then they'll help you do it the very very easy way  3. You may just have too many programs loading up on startup up (ie, when you boot up your computer). This means that the more icons in your system tray (all the icons near your PC time are actually in your system tray), the less RAM you will have to run other programs and execute other instructions. In this case, you will have to either right click on those icons in your system tray and select "Exit" or "Close" (dont do it to your antivirus or firewall though!). Or, you may need to fix up your list of 'start up' programs. To do that, try and get your hands on "Reg Cleaner" (use Kazaa!) and it has a tab/button in it labelled START UP PROGRAMS. Just delete/uncheck those programs that aren't vital to your PCs everyday running (by deleting the programs under this tab doesnt mean that it will unistall or ruin that program, all it will do is prevent it from loading in the background everytime you coldboot or restart your PC, which will free up RAM). By doing this, you free up RAM in your PC which then directs towards running your modems instructions and your browser properly and smoothly. Low RAM means that youre modem and browser will run sooo s-l-o-w-l-y, so its vital that you have as much of it available as you can Hope that helps. ll Pranaam ll
