Not much chance of it being the wire.....if it was then the PC wouldn't recognise your Modem and you wouldn't be able to connect to the Internet at all.

Could be the RAM.....I told one of the other guys here that the minimum requirement for Broadband is 64MB, but even at 128MB it wouldn't run perfectly. I have games that have a recommended 64MB, and they run slow even at 256MB!!!!

Other possibilities: if you share the Broadband. Do you have one account on more than one PC in your house???? If you do then this is a network and it could slow it way down. Also, might be worth checking how far your house is from the Telephone Exchange.....the closer you are to it the faster your signal will be.

From the sounds of it you do definitely need a RAM upgrade for your PC, even if thats not the net problem. I'm usin a work PC at the moment, when I get home I'll check out my system setup for you and find out anything else that might be causing it. I have BT broadband too so our setups should be the same. Check back soon....

The minimum requirement is the minimum needed for the system to work.

For broadband, isn't 128Mb the minimum and 256Mb recommended ?
