Is there nothing you can do to avoid those annoying things from taking over your screen for 5 seconds every 20 minutes?

They come up a lot when I am on B.com- these days it's some smiley hotbar...

get a popup killer from CNET and that should do it!

Well its a terrible problem when u get lot of popups and very annoying as well.

The solution I can recommend is, use this "panic pop stopper" http://www.panicware.com/popupstopperisp.html
Its very good and they have a free demo as well.

same thing happens on my computer, once it got so bad, if i left the computer for 5 minutes, there would be enough pop ups to make my computer flop into obscurity woteva dat means

i actually dont get that many pop-ups

at b.com, i only get one. its a virtual-countried one, and no pic or anything comes up, just a blank window.

before i used to get a casino one.
and before that i got those smily ones.

These things are a real pain.....the suggested links are a good idea, but also make sure you have up to date virus definitions.....some of these things can be harmful if they are disguised files.....

Pop-ups are so annoying. They're unsolicited and can be embarassing at times. I've had some quite naughty ones pop up for no reason whatsoever.

A couple of years ago I left my computer on and went out for abit. A gf of mine went to visit me and found the screen full of..... well lets not go there.

She called me a pervert and went mental. This was ages ago before I knew what pop-ups were and couldn't explain it. It looked bad and she got more angry when I kept on denying it

"I don't know, they got there on there own".

Pop-up bastards should be made illegal, theyre indiscriminating, think of the poor young kids that may be exposed to some of the filth that comes through.
