I want to buy a modem i go into the market but on the box its written Designed for Microsoft Windows 98/NT. We have come to teh point where vendors are creating hardware whihc are plateform dependent, it was not long ago when softwares were designed keeping in mind the architechure of the hardware now its changed. Do you hate microsoft for this Yes i do which make one from Rich to Richest i hate this capatilist Ideaology. Comments welcome on Microsoft monoply over market and its effects.

The reason being I think is that there are constant changes in hardware. The hardware vendors have to always keep themselves up-to date with the newest hardwares. I personally don't like microsoft, but i'm sure that if you search into that particular vendor's website you will find the driver's for other operating systems.

If you really hate microsfot use linux and with a little effort u can compile the kernel and download a driver.
