DAMN! - coz there wre plenty more where that came from

Okay gonna have an attempt at answerin some of ure questions - but my Sylheti these days is only marginally better than my Urdu - i don't get to speak it that much these days (re:to discussion on "talking")

bala aso ni - is "are you well?"

to which u reply ji-oy bhala asi (u can leave the ji out if u dont have to be polite to the person)

ORRR u can say - asi ekh-rokhom / asi muta-muti - which i think means "yeaaah okay"

ORR you can say - Ar khoyo na, amar janre dori-layse - "old age is gettin to me "


Bhala na kharaf tumar kita hoy - tumi amar kuz low ni - "what's it to u, do u ever ask "
