Observed by Muslims world-wide during the last ten days of Ramadan, Islamic tradition commemorates the Night of Power (Eid al-Fitr) as being the night that the Qur'an was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Adherents to the Muslim faith are required to observe the Night of Powe by spending this time in deeds of devotion.
Sacred rituals carried out during this time include retreating to the mosque to read Qur'an, as well as repeating special supplications while reflecting on the meaning of Allah's message to all who observe the Islamic faith.
