Cox’s Bazaar Beautification Project
One of the most popular attractions in Bangladesh is Cox’s Bazaar. Once a sleepy little fishing town, its industry has been boosted over the years with the influx of thousands of tourists. Everyone who travels to Bangladesh always ensures that they visit Cox’s Bazaar, as it is the longest natural stretch of beach in the world, at a length of 120 kilometers. Although this breathtaking beach is considered to be part of the attractions in Bangladesh, beautification projects and developments have been introduced to grow Cox’s Bazaar into a prime holiday destination.

Fun in Beautiful Surroundings at Foy’s Lake
Chittagong is the second-largest city in Bangladesh as well as being the chief seaport of the country. It is located in southeastern Bangladesh on the banks of the Karnaphuli River which flows into the Bay of Bengal. Foy’s Lake is a large man-made lake on the outskirts of Chittagong, next to Batili Hill. Surrounded by scenic forests and hills, Foy’s Lake is a superb picnic and recreation area which attracts thousands of visitors, both local and international.

“1971” – a Bangladeshi Liberation War Documentary
The Bangladesh Liberation War is a significant part of the history of the country, and lasted from the 26th of March 1971 until the 16th of December 1971. War broke out during this time between East and West Pakistan. West Pakistan became Pakistan by the end of the war, and East Pakistan is known today as Bangladesh. Finding a formidable ally in India, the East Pakistan forces were able to drive the West Pakistani armed military from their territory and gain their independence as Bangladesh. Unfortunately, independence came with a price and sacrifice, and a story of heroism and courage that every citizen of Bangladesh should know about.

International Mother Language Day
The 21st of February is of special significance to the people of Bangladesh. Each year, on this date, the country commemorates International Mother Language Day in recognition of the preservation of Bangla as the official language of Bangladesh. At the request of the people of Bangladesh and after investigating the matter, UNESCO declared the 21st of February each year to be International Mother Language Day on a world-wide scale among United Nations member countries. What makes the 21st of February so special?
