New Archeological Sites Discovered in North Bangladesh

The northern part of Bangladesh has several archeological sites of repute. Many date as far back as 2500 BC. Buddhism was widespread in the north of the country and many artifacts relate to that period in history. Mohasthangarh is one of the more popular sites in this region. It is among the oldest sites in the country and is believed to date back to 2500 BC. This ancient archeological and historical site is situated on the western bank of river Karatoa. It is located about 18 kilometers to the north of Bogra town.

The industry unfortunately went into in a decline with the advent and rampant use of synthetic substitutes. Jute is a natural fiber obtained as an extract from the bark of the jute plant, which reaches its full growth within three months of planting.
